Moz in Manila.

Got some confirmatory news that indeed, the almighty MORRISSEY, is coming to Manila on May 2012. Just wait for the details.

In the meantime, check out this 'boot' The Smiths 'Meat is Murder' tee. Good colorway. Really brings out the green ink used on the Meat is Murder cover art. If you don't like Moz, I'm sorry, but you can't be my friend.

March 3, BKB.

Just picked this up at the interwebs, where all the promotion for shows and records are happening. No more flyer pasting, although there are just a few spots to post flyers anyway. It used to be just the Cartimar, Recto area or a bunch of skate shops but now its just the web, social networking, blogs, etc. Not that its bad, just kinda missed the tight-knit community feel when you just knew where to check out the shows and records.

Anyway, this is a show happening at BKB at West Ave., QC. They got a pretty sweet venue over there so check it out. Cool hardcore bands playing on a Saturday night.

Mojos and pizza.

Have you eaten at Shakey's lately? Most of their branches underwent an extensive renovation. They got good pizza and mojo potatoes too. Too bad they don't have onion rings. And any kind of vegie pasta for that matter.

Dis you see the Dunk contest today? Bleh. Most boring dunk show ever.

Vocal tracking.

Dregala doing the vocal tracks for the new Bystorm record. It was hot as hell yesterday so even in the cold confines of Positivity Studios, the heat was on. Recording's almost done.

The past week was fckd up so this is to hoping that things get sorted out quickly.

Feb. 25, 2012 @ IDB, Paranaque City.

IDB studios at Paranaque City will be rattled this coming Saturday as some of the heaviest bands take out the small IDB stage. Although the venue is a bit far from the usualvenues, kids from the south should definitely check this venue out. And if you've got a band in the area and you're looking for a cool place to practice, you should definitely check the studio. Nice people all around. See you this Saturday.

Sbetter.

Sbarro's sbetter? It's been a long time since I actually had a meal at his joint. Classi cheese pizza and of course the penne with tomato sauce. Just a legit meal. Throw in some chili flakes and granulated garlic and you're set.

Hot air balloon.

Took this picture last Friday when I went to that far-flung province of Balanga, Bataan. Totally bored driving when I chanced upon these giant balloons somewhere in Clark. Good sht.

Currently watching: Modern Family Season 2.

Boston.

Got this really cool hoodie from Mr. Motorhead himself, Arjelou, as one of his rare finds from Baguio City. Thanks brother.

In the aftermath of the Backtrack tour, Still Ill will be focusing on its long overdue releases such as the Bystorm 'Sumalangitnawa' full length and the 'longer' overdue PLAY record. Can't really comment on the Rush IxDx record as that is now beyond my control. Hopefully, the BFK tribute gets sorted out this month. Also been talking to Dane about the possibility of a live KILL RATIO record with probably some demo songs. Let's do this.

Chokehold.

Rare CHOKEHOLD shirt given by man Rups of Exkapo fame (sup brother?). If you haven't listened to Chokehold, a reeducation may be in order. This is the best band to come out of Canada. Up front with their beliefs, pro-choice, political and always up for a debate. Yes.

The BACKTRACK show last night was insane. Although the attendance was a little smaller than we expected it to be, kids went apeshit when Backtrack hit the stage. It was just funny cause the people who are 'outspokenly influenced' by NYHC was nowhere in sight when an OG NYHC band hits our shores. What's up with that? Erase the rat!
