April 3 @ Kalye Art Gallery.

Haven't seen TBOD since Ronald arrived this year and this will be my first time to check em out again. Should be fun and they will be playing with ADA, Tame the Tikbalang and other bands that would be definitely be fun to check out.

I'm also having a hard time posting pics of shirts, stuff for review and food from my phone so bear with me. Got some good stuff and stories to tell as well. Keep checkin.

Santlemo Album Launch.

Have you heard of Santelmo? I think I read about them once or twice in Incidental Afterthought zine and I got intrigued. But somewhere, somehow, our paths did not meet. And now they have a release show at Freedom Bar on April 3, 2011 @ Freedom Bar, Quezon City. Check em out.

I know I saw a flyer for a show happening on April 2 but I just can't find it. Anyone, care to help?

Guest: Ubong.

If you don't know Ubong, you're missing out, he's the monster drummer behind Sauna and Isvarah, all around stand-up dude. He's being featured here wearing one of the second batch of Bystorm 'Lungsod ng mga Patay na Buhay' shirts. Sick colorway too.

Speaking of Ubong, he's one of the artists featured in the "This is not a punk show" art exhibit held at Singalong last night. Bystorm played there as well and had a great time hanging out with friends. Good times definitely. Sick set from Omerta (is it Jahannam now?)

Currently listening to: Wu-Tang Clan 'Iron Flag'

Guest: Z (finally!)

Finally, a guest spot for Zepol in this blog featuring an awesome Rot In Hell 'Hallways..' era shirt. Goats, HT Emblem, RIH, how can one go wrong? Check out their new album if you haven't already.

3/26/11 - Hades Bar.

Just saw this flyer for a show happening on Saturday at Hades Bar. Features some bands that I'm not too familiar with. Go check the show if that's your thing.

Me? I'm going to check out the 'This is not a punk show' brought to you by the Forum peeps, featuring the opening of the art gallery done by your favorite local punk rock artists. Bystorm will be playing along side notable bands such as Kaktus Karuka from Quezon, ExOxTx, Legarda (who will also be playing at the Hades show).

Bystorm 'Lungsod..' to be repressed?

Bystorm @ Terror show, pic courtesy of Mar Laquindanum (good shot!)

Still Ill will be doing a repress of the Bystorm 'Lungsod ng mga Patay na Buhay' Live CD-R with a special summer edition packaging, limited to 100 copies again. Hit us up at shows if you'd like a copy. Half of these will be going in the mail so expect this to go fast.

36" Pizza?

Not really. But when you order two 18" Yellow Cab cheese pizzas in the middle of the night after the Terror mayhem, sht's gonna get wild. Good times.

The Forum Punk Rock Exhibit (or whatever the hell they want to call it) will be opening at the Kalye Gallery at Malate, Manila this Saturday. Bystorm will be playing along with Kaktus Karuka and some other bands. Gonna bring some stuff for trade or sell too. See you there.

The first Still Ill shirt ever.

Eggman representin with a 1/1 STILL ILL shirt printed on a light blue shirt. Good look. Comes with a repeat pocket print and a big ass SI logo at the back.

Good stuff: There's a newly-bought PS3 in the house and I'm currently engrossed in Marvel v. Capcom 3. Holy sht. Also trying out COD, Black Ops. Any tips?

Mr. Swansong and the infamous Crisanto came up with the idea of putting up a gallery to "showcase" various artworks done by the very cool people from the local punk rock community. Artists featured include, but are not limited to:

Lester Wrongkillyou, Jan Sunday Quilaquil, Alden Santiago, Jukus Sepada, Dolf Valenzuela, Arvin Marcial, Felix Rosales, Malvin De Vera, Edwin Martinez, Sam Kiyoumarsi, Vermont Coronel, Ralye IbaƱez, Marc Montemayor, Aris Bantug, Selo Bularon, Sheryl Garcia, Sam Pimebomb, Rhado Garcia, Keith Dador, Daphne Dapithapon, England Hidalgo, Reinald Laurel, Christine Bautista, Darwin Dacanay, Carlo Ubong, Egg Santos, Nicol Mesina, JJ Zamoranos, Vic Balanon and Doddie Fajardo....

Below is the list of activities for the month-long affair. Got some good things going on:

A Thank You Note.

Pic c/o Mel (Towards The End)

Cuts and bruises will heal but the memory of this great show will live in infamy. Nothing else to say really but THANK YOU to everyone who helped out in organizing this show: Z, Egg, Dha, Den, Cris, Danj, Led, Arje, Ryan for the logistics, finance, design, gatekeeping, security and everything else you've done for this show. Without you, nothing would have been done.

Thanks to O for sending in the burgers, Wilmer for helping out at the kitchen, Johner, Boyet (Tame) and crew, Koi for the equipment and the venue help. If I forgot your name, its just because my head's still a little messed up right now. Remind me and I'll make the necessary correction!:D

Thanks to everyone who came out from everywhere in the Philippines, Cebu City HC kids (including of course the GARDO and QCC crew!), people from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, the North, everyone else from around the metro. Truthfully, if you did not come out at this show, you SUCK. Haha. Just joking (well, maybe 50% of it).

Special thanks to TERROR for visiting Manila. We hope to cross paths soon. Vogel, you still owe me some kicks from your collection!

Next up: www.diypinoyhcpunk.com THIS IS NOT A PUNK SHOW art echibit (with punk rock shows of course! ha!), New Blood show on April, new releases from Still Ill! That's just for the second quarter of 2011 (I need a f'n break)

Terror - Tomorrow Night!

After some months of preparing, discussion, flaring tempers, TERROR will be playing at Quezon City tomorrow night. The line-up has been posted earlier so read down for more info.

Some reminders: Gates open at 6:00 PM, Show starts at 7:00 PM.
Terror shirts will be available so support the band and pick something up.
The organizers reserve the right to THROW anybody out of the show for being ridiculously unruly.
Dive off the stage, mosh your brains out but be respectful of other people's space.
Don't be a f'n crybaby.
Support ALL the LOCAL bands. They deserve it.
Don't break anything, you break it, you PAY for it.
Don't go to the show if you're not willing to pay the gate price. NO F'N FREELOADERS.

That's it. We hope to see you all tomorrow!

PS. Read the posts made by Joab in his new blog , Any Last Word! Nice commentary on the post I made about the value of recording your songs. Thanks for reminding me about the correct blog (removing the 's' on words).

Chicharon.

You vegetarians ever miss chicharon? Well, I know there's Marthy's Vegie Chicharon available now at your favorite sari-sari store but this chicharon concoction made by Bodhi is just awesome. Just missing the skin and fat content of the true chicharon minus the guilt.

Palabok.

Been slacking off the vegie posts lately. Too bored to take pics and describe them probably. Here is something you don't get everyday: Vegie Palabok from Bodhi. Terrific mix and the noodles and sauce are perfect as well as the accompanying 'anchovies' and sht. Egg optional. However, this is not available at your fave Bodhi at SM but I think, only at their main store in Banawe, QC. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Something new. Something blue.

New pair of Air Max kicks. Life's good.

Baguio show tonight.

Baguio show happening tonight c/o our friends from the Awakened Hope Collective. Good line-up and with the rain falling on the metro, it should be pretty cool in Baguio and should be a nice break from the coming summer heat.

Good stuff: The Celtics trade seems to be working pretty well despite the loss of Perk.

Bad stuff: Oil price, airconditioning system breaking down (i HATE the f'n heat).

Currently rocking out to: In Cold Blood 'Suicide King'

Another Vegie Burger.

Likha Diwa has a new menu and it features this giganto-burger with double patty and camote fries on the side. Good but not Good Burger good, if you know what I mean. A bit pricey too. This one's meant for sharing but I saw someone devour this on her own. Weird.
