Long-sleeved Isvarah shirt. Pretty wicked design. Four-sided prints all over this shirt. Isvarah at the back and the left sleeve. The Christ face on the front and all over the right sleeve.
Got less than two weeks before New York City's BACKTRACK plays at Ten at Quezon City. Share the info with all your friends and we'll see y'all there.

Finally got to see this new vegie joint located at the corner or Mo. Ignacia and Roces Sts. in Quezon City, beside Moomba. I was impressed by the size of the store and the variety of the menu. They got grilled stuff, pizza, pasta and a lot of stewed concoctions. What we got here is the initial salvo with vegie liempo, sisig and sweet and sour 'pork'. Very nice, although the sisig doesn't quite match that of Greens though. Pretty good stuff and the price is reasonable. Will definitely go back.
Celtics starting to turn this season around with Pierce anchoring the offense and some reserves stepping up in the absence of Rajon and Ray-ray. Sox, meanwhile, still couldn't add a legit starting pitcher. What gives?

Just saw this video posted in the web by Mr. Crapsalad. Taken during the Richard Collier Night. He also has footage of the cover songs performed by all the bands that night. Cool stuff to check out. Check the link on the right.
F'n face is finally beginning to reduce swelling. Got some time to relax this weekend. Bystorm recording resumes next week. Bass and guitar tracks. Bloody hell. And a show later in the evening. Should be fun.

Had a weird Chinese New Year day today. Had to go to the office because of an urgent need to finish a pleading for a client, then got this awesome lunch at Greens Resto. Vegie Pakora and Ginisang Pechay combo with java rice. Yeah, one of those days that you can eat a combo at Greens and not settle for barbecue.
I then went to the dentist or the grim reaper's office, whichever is acceptable to you, to have a dental surgery on another impacted tooth. Fck that sht. Can you say pain and suffering?
By the way, the HTB going out show last night at the 'Royal Rumble' was awesome. Bodies were flying all over with smiles on their faces. Thanks HTB.
Currently watching: Ghost Fighter series. I'm not doing anything tomorrow so I'll just watch a lot of these episodes.

Found the flyer for tonight's show. Sick line-up. Be there.
Celtics are beginning to suck. Time to break up the big three?
Red Sox retooling.
Patriots most probably on their way to the Superbowl.

If you still haven't heard, today will be your last chance to watch HALF THE BATTLE as they'll be breaking up. I'm looking for the flyer and chances are I'll be posting it in a while.
In the meantime, here is a more recent HTB shirt. Good design and colorway. HTB will be sorely missed. Check them out at Black King's Bar along West Avenue.
This post could use more substance but my brain has yet to kick to overdrive. Had fun recording drum tracks for the new Bystorm full-length 'Sumalangitnawa' at Positivity Studios. Then headed to IDB Bar at Paranaque City for the Richard Collier tribute night. Saw some new wicked punk rock bands from Cavite such as Past The Fence and Royce and the guy who played some acoustic tunes that made the crowd go 'awwww'. Good stuff. RICHARD COLLIER played for almost an hour and drained all my energy. F'n sweat in the eyes. Burn. Probably be posting more on this later.

Richard Collier will be playing this Saturday at IDB Bar in Paranaque City in a "tribute" show wherein several bands from the metro and provinces (Pampanga, Batangas) will be covering a couple of RC tunes. It has been fun hanging out and playing with these guys again after a long hiatus and it's definitely gonna be a fun night so see y'all there!

Sad news broke out this morning when we learned that Mr. Archi of Guerra Mundial/Breakfast Insomnia zine passed away last night. You'll be missed brother. Sleep well. Hope that you can find the peace you're looking for that you did not find here.

Recently found out that there is a Mexicali located at the Promenade. Where there's a Mexicali, there's a Garden Burger (their version of vegie burger). Also found out that they made some variations and they now have a smaller vegie burger for half the price of the original one. It's also served with fries instead of nachos. Good idea. The patty on the junior burger is pretty thin though. With the right amount of garlic and chili sauce, it's bound to be awesome.
Currently listening to: Dashboard Confessional 'Dusk and Summer' (it's ok to listen to DC now since they're not the 'cool' band to listen to nowadays. haha)

The flyer for the BACKTRACK show happening on February 10, 2012 is now up. Very awesome (biased) line-up in my opinion. February 10, 2012. Gates open at 7:00 PM. Show starts at 8:00. Friday night. Just around the metro. Bring a friend. Post in in your facebook page, forums, blogs, record stores, skate shopes, sari-sari stores. Merch and records from Backtrack as well as the local bands will be available at the show.
Currently listening to: Lemonheads 'Into your arms' on a gloomy Sunday morning.

Finally got to reviewing the 5th issue of RTC. Had a prepared review of this one but for some reason I failed to post it. RTC is one of the zine that had been constantly appearing the past two years or so. This time he interviewed three zine makers: Dane of IRH, Jep of Konspirazine and Joseph of Incidental Afterthought. Got some good stuff to say too and some funny comments from the editor as well as the interviewees. Also features some columns from the editor, Archi of Guerra Mundial, Monina and Odessa. Best part of the zine is a look back at past and present powerviolence bands from the Philippines. But seriously dude, Drastic Noise is not powerviolence. They were confused if they were a hardcore/punk/oi band. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Currently listening to: Chorus of Disapproval 'One Firm Law Standing' (how good is the bass intro of 'Downslide' and proceeds to the hardest part immediately. saw a video of their reunion show at Chain Reaction where they used the Godfather theme song right into that song. Sht.)

Couple of shows happening this Saturday at Laguna and Batangas. First up is Railroad Records opening show for 2012 and the other is an almost all local Batangas show. Go out there and have fun. Good way to start 2012.
Currently listening to: Jua De la Cruz 'Kagatan' on repeat.

Our boys from ISVARAH will head to Davao City with Laguna's EIGHT OUNCE to spread mayhem down under. C'mon Davao City folks, show these guys what you got! Might be the only chance to see them live too.

Starting off 2012 with a pun is always good in my book. This is a latter era Trash Talk version of 'Destroy'. Really cool silver/metallic lining on an "advanced" destroy look.
Big things to look for in 2012: Backtrack show on Feb. 10, 2012, new releases from Still Ill (FINALLY!), more local releases, change of attitudes, change of ideas. Red Sox winning the WS, new Bystorm record, etc.
Not so cool thing to look for in 2012: Half the Battle's last show this January (ugh.)
Currently listening to: Gameface 'Last of the good guys' on repeat (maybe trying to convince myself that I do AM one of the good guys but running out of nice things to say).
