NCI No. 28 show review...
Talksick rippin sht up. Rashid wearing the all new Bystorm athletic shorts.
Lazy Sunday afternoon. The turnout was smaller than we expected but the show was fun nonetheless. Started the afternoon hanging out at Greens to talk about upcoming tours/shows such as Krupskaya on December 20 which will coincide with the year-end party of www.diypinoyhcpunk.com with the help of Flowergrave Collective and Asterisk Collective. Should make one hell of a show.
Other upcoming tours are Discrimination Free (Borneo), Pisschrist (Australia), Blockshot (Germany), First Blood (California) and that will all be happening on January. I'll be posting show details here soon.
Back to the show, STAID kicked out the festivities and these guys do not fail to deliver. janus was filling in on bass in the absence of Mr. Morgan. Nice set but the druimmer was always catching his breath. Hehe. BYSTORM played next and the people in the room started the party. We played some old tunes and had fun while doing it.
TALKSICK from Malolos was up next and in the middle of their set, their vox, lost his tooth in a 'crashing' incident by one of the more 'violent' members of the crowd. Hehe. These guys get tighter everytime. Hopefully, a proper recording is on its way.
After them, came one of the most anticipated bands of the night CURSE/GIFT from Batangas. To those not in the know, this is the new project of ex-Sauna members, Felix and Carlo. They play full on hyperspeed thrashing metallic hardcore in the vein of Trap Them. Can't go wrong with that combination. I injured my hand during their set so I spent most of the night hanging out with friends.
Other bands that played that night were OMERTA an NUCLEAR PUNISHMENT but I wasn't really enjoying the night that much because of the injury. Didn't kow if EYES OF FIRE still played. All in all it was a good night. Thanks to everyone who went to the show!
Good stuff: new zines I got from the show (reviews up soon), Mafia Wars, The Animals 'House of the Rising Sun,' DIYpinoyhcpunk.com anniversary DVD (thanks Sannee!)

Mozarella and Garlic Pizza...
Tomorrow will be the Sunday Matinees show at Ten02. Make sure to be there. I heard last night's reunion show of Loads of Motherhood and Sky Church was awesome. Should have been there. Anyway, things have been slow this week but things will definitely pick up these coming weeks.

Hellfish Family...
Hellfish 'Danzig rip'
I got this shirt from Hellfish when I stumbled upon a 'promo' they had on the B9 board asking people to send them their addreses and the first 30 or 40 (I think) would get free stuff. After some time, I was surprised to get this and it's awesome! Thanks Hellfish! Go out and support 'em.

a couple of November 14 shows...
We have two (2) shows happening on the 14th of November. If you're up north, make sure to hit up Baguio City. A couple of T4 bands and some new ones will be hitting the City of Pines along with their locals spearheaded by Prayer of Endurance. Should make for an awesome show.
The other show is the second leg of the Rustphantom release party to be held somewhere at Paranaque City. Check it out if you can. DFTW from Olongapo is playing along with Nuclear Punishment and Tame the Tikbalang.
Currently listening to: Cokebust 'Lines in the Sand', Colin of Arabia 'Pain Machines', Mind Eraser 'The Prodigal Son Brings Death'
Non-Compliant Issue No. 28 : Sunday Matinee @ 4th Door Gallery
We start off our November/Holiday entries with this upcoming show on November 22 to be held at 4th Door Gallery located at Karapatan St., Sta. Cruz, Manila. This will be the first time we will be having a show at this venue. It's a small venue but it's good to pack about 100 kids like sardines. Should make for an awesome night. Staid is back. Nuclear Punishment and Isvarah will be playing after some months of laying low. Play and Rush IxDx will be bringing the fast in all of us. Plus I'll finally see Curse/Gift play. Finally. Omerta, Talk Sick, Bystorm and stoner-favorites Eyes of Fire round up the line-up.
It's been a lazy week because of the holiday season, so time to stretch those muscles and do something consructive...
Good stuff: Celtics on their way to a 4-0 start, Yankees @ Phillies, Chokehold live video from EricxEdge, Trapped Under Ice, Leeway...
