NCI No. 28 show review...

Talksick rippin sht up. Rashid wearing the all new Bystorm athletic shorts.

Lazy Sunday afternoon. The turnout was smaller than we expected but the show was fun nonetheless. Started the afternoon hanging out at Greens to talk about upcoming tours/shows such as Krupskaya on December 20 which will coincide with the year-end party of www.diypinoyhcpunk.com with the help of Flowergrave Collective and Asterisk Collective. Should make one hell of a show.

Other upcoming tours are Discrimination Free (Borneo), Pisschrist (Australia), Blockshot (Germany), First Blood (California) and that will all be happening on January. I'll be posting show details here soon.

Back to the show, STAID kicked out the festivities and these guys do not fail to deliver. janus was filling in on bass in the absence of Mr. Morgan. Nice set but the druimmer was always catching his breath. Hehe. BYSTORM played next and the people in the room started the party. We played some old tunes and had fun while doing it.

TALKSICK from Malolos was up next and in the middle of their set, their vox, lost his tooth in a 'crashing' incident by one of the more 'violent' members of the crowd. Hehe. These guys get tighter everytime. Hopefully, a proper recording is on its way.

After them, came one of the most anticipated bands of the night CURSE/GIFT from Batangas. To those not in the know, this is the new project of ex-Sauna members, Felix and Carlo. They play full on hyperspeed thrashing metallic hardcore in the vein of Trap Them. Can't go wrong with that combination. I injured my hand during their set so I spent most of the night hanging out with friends.

Other bands that played that night were OMERTA an NUCLEAR PUNISHMENT but I wasn't really enjoying the night that much because of the injury. Didn't kow if EYES OF FIRE still played. All in all it was a good night. Thanks to everyone who went to the show!

Good stuff: new zines I got from the show (reviews up soon), Mafia Wars, The Animals 'House of the Rising Sun,' DIYpinoyhcpunk.com anniversary DVD (thanks Sannee!)
