Updates...

Damn it. I've been trying to upload some pics for this blog for almost two weeks now but for some reason or another my PC at work can't seem to upload it. Anyway, I'll try to post some pics soon.

It has been a crazy June-July for the local scene and I was glad to be a part of it. To sum up:

MAGRUDERGRIND from DC visited the Philippines last June and it was one hell of an experience. They played 4 shows in 5 nights and managed to go swimming on their free day at Pagbilao, Quezon. The shows were fuckin awesome. The kids went wild with MG's thrashin' powerviolence songs and were always full of energy.

The following week came CRUX from Australia. Insane d-beat mayhem with Tragedy and His Hero is Gone. They played 3 shows: 2 in Quezon City and 1 in Malolos, Bulacan. Get a hold of theri split CD with Pazahora. Awesome.

THROW's release party was up next. It was held in Center for the Arts in Timog, Quezon City. We walked in after a Bystorm practice and it was CHOKECOCOI destroying the stage. THE BEAUTY OF DOUBT came next and it was non-stop sing-along, of course. MUSIC FRONT came up and then the "star" of the night, THROW. These guys need no introduction. The new CD did not disappoint, either I got one via trade from Ronald (TBOD, Counterflow). TAME THE TIKBALANG closed the show and I, for one, really enjoyed their set. Crowd kept urging them to play "Angst" but to no avail...

Up next were DRIVEN FEAR from Australia. These guys play fast hardcore in the vein of Comeback Kid and were non-stop dancers in the pit. A lot of bands scheduled that night cancelled but were aptly replaced with other bands: MIHARA, TOWARDS THE END and TAME THE TIKBALANG: all awesome bands. Crowd went nuts when TTT covered 'Sailin On' by the almighty Bad Brains. Other bands that played that night were Bystorm, TBOD, Noise Conspiracy Project. They played a show in Bulacan and again at Quezon City the following night.

I heard that some untoward incident happened at the Freedom Bar show of Driven Fear but I guess there will just be assholes everywhere. I apologize to Driven Fear for what happened and rest assured that it will never happened again. Bad weeds need to be plucked...

For some updates...

Over the weekend, me and Led (Major Malfunction) will be going to Kuala Lumpur to watch one of our favorite bands ever: IGNITE! Hell fuckin' yeah. I get to watch and sing along to one of the most influential bands (at least for me..hehe) ever. Plus I get to hang out with the cool KL kids. Awesome. Awesome.

Take-4 Upcoming Releases:

RICHARD COLLIER "For the Love of Death" CD
4-way split with KILL RATIO, ISTUKAS OVER DISNEYLAND, ESKAPO and LA GRITA CD
PILIPINAS THRASH DETONATION CD
BIOFEEDBACK Tribute CD

Plus, there are talks of BYSTORM participating in an international HOLY TERROR compilation with some of the most amazing band sin the world so you got to watch out for that and maybe another split or a full-length depending on how much material we have.

Upcoming Tours:

MY DISCO (Australia) October 29-31, 2008
CONQUEST FOR DEATH (ex-What Happens Next? - California) November 5-6, 2008
SECOND COMBAT (Malaysia) December 2008

If everything goes as planned, we will be releasing a Conquest For Death Discography for their Southeast Asian Tour, so watch out kids!!!

UPCOMING SHOWS:

Go to Santa Rosa City this weekend. Hongkong's SHEPHERD'S THE WEAK and KING LY CHEE will be playing one show there this Saturday along with some locals. Too bad we're going to miss that show...

Ok, that's it for now. I'll try to post some pics later...
